Here at Stone House Stage + Design we LOVE Fall. The crisp morning air and the changing colors all around us get us so excited for the changing seasons.
Having a beautifully set table is not just for dinner parties! It is also a great way to stage your house for sale. It can really help the potential buyer picture themselves enjoying meals in their new home!
Here are six tips for setting a beautiful fall table:
1. Pick a color theme
this will help when you go shopping or start gathering décor from around your home. We’re going with earthy browns, tans, and cream. Warm + cozy feels.
2. Have something living on your table (flowers, fresh fruit, gourds/pumpkins)
Fall is a great time to visit your local Farmers Market (or your garden!) and collect something beautiful for your table. We love live garlands down the center of a table, a beautiful bouquet of flowers, or fresh fruit and/or fall gourds at each place setting.
3. Mix textures
Add visual interest with a variety of textures and dimensions through centerpieces, napkins, rugs, lighting etc. Have fun with it, you’re not going to live with this every day, so go ahead and WOW your guest by being creative! We found these awesome plates at Tuesday Morning and the beautiful rug is from The Loom House.
4. Think about lighting
If you’re having an evening dinner party add candles for a warm, cozy glow feel + pick something that smells like fall (tag a ‘fall’ candle scent in the post). If it’s a brunch then be sure to open up the windows and let the light shine, candle are still welcome since the smell is much appreciated!
5. Get Personal
Try to personalize your table when possible, it makes your guests feel extra special. Name tags are a great way to make a table welcoming.
6. Save space for the food and people!
The most important part of a beautiful table setting are the people that gather there and the memories that are created. Make sure your table has space for the important things.
